Melz On The MIC crashed our sister stations Red Dirt BBQ & Music Festival last year and he's planning to do it again this year.

Yall know I love great food as evidenced by my "Best Damn Thing I Ate" series but when our sister stations KNUE and Radio Texas Live With Buddy Logan host the annual Red Dirt BBQ Music Festival, I set out on a mission to try EVERY vendor there.

I Posted About My Journey In A Series Of TikTok Videos...

Last year's festival featured 21 of the best BBQ joints from all across the state of Texas showcasing their food and its going to be the same thing this year and yes, my mission to eat at every spot is the same mission I'm going to be on this year.
My journey last year seemed to start off well as I checked out Brett's BBQ, Kreuz Market. But stick around because I'm just getting started.

So far so good, as I was approaching the halfway point in my quest to try all of the vendors including 1701 Barbecue, Nomad Barbecue, Reveille BBQ and Poppy Q's. But in a few seconds you'll see the end result.

And Finally...

Let's just go ahead and say that I FAILED miserably on my mission to eat every vendor thanks to the combination of the "meat sweats" and the hot weather that day. But I enjoyed it all and hopefully this year I remember to pace myself and do some stretches before I try again.
